Opened in 1982, Hell's Point was designed by Rees Jones. The ethos of the course is strategy not strength and a combination of hellish (pun intended) bunkes and well designed holes provides a challenge to players of every calibre.
The par 3 8th hole is a great example of the challenges with the tee shot requiring a carry over sand to reach the green. Nothing too worrying there you might say - until you find out the bunker is nearly 125 yds long.
