The El Saler Golf Course, in the centre of the Albufera Natural Park, is set in the island formed by the two tongues of the lagoon, which run into the Mediterranean, La Gola de Pujol and La Gola del Perellonet.
Designed by Javier Arana in 1968 the course has retained its original layout despite recent improvements in golf technology
El Saler's main natural hazard is the sandy soil that on a number of occasions during the round shows on the borders of the fairways, becoming one of the player's worst enemies.
