Established in 1932 and extended in 1992, Windwhistle Golf Club is set in some of the most beautiful Somerset countryside and boasts wonderful views over Somerset, Devon and Dorset. On a clear day both Lyme Bay to the South and the Bristol Channel and Wales to the north are visible. You are assured of a warm welcome at Windwhistle. Our 18 hole parkland course with tree lined fairways, is easy to find being only a few hundred yards east of the entrance to Cricket St Thomas Wildlife Park and Warner's Hotel, on the A30 between Chard and Crewkerne. Windwhistle operates a telephone booking system so that, subject to availability, you can reserve your tee time up to 7 days in advance and plan your day around your game. Individual green fee players and societies are welcome and packages can be arranged to suit your needs. Just telephone Ian at the club and they will be pleased to discuss your requirements. Non-golfers are also welcome for coffee or lunch and we have excellent pay-and-play squash courts available. Windwhistle's practice facilities are excellent and ideal for experienced players or for those new to the game. With a full sized practice hole, bunker, and putting green and a 300 yd driving range that (unlike many other ranges) uses full compression (real) golf balls, Windwhistle's practice facilities are hard to beat. Expert tuition is available for players of all ages and standards with Windwhistle's experienced resident PGA Professional. In addition to traditional teaching techniques, our Professional is also able to offer video and computer analysis to help pupils to understand their lessons better and improve faster.
