The Warren Golf Club presents a rare challenge – golf as it used to be. It is the only true links course on the South coast of Devon, sited in a National Nature Reserve. With water on both sides of the course and often a tricky wind the course can be demanding, but the surroundings and natural beauty more than compensate for the occasional errant shot. The greens are excellent, the course natural. The varied plant life brings colour to the round whatever the time of year, and you are never far from the wildlife. The course is part of many major migratory routes, and there are many rare species to be seen. If you are lucky, you may catch sight of a fox, or a hunting stoat, and you will often see birds of prey hovering above the heather and gorse which line some of the fairways.
